TS1097

'{0}' list cannot be empty.

A list such as an `implements` or `extends` clause is empty. Name at least one type, or remove the keyword.

What it means

Keywords that introduce a list, such as implements or extends, need at least one entry after them. The message names which list is empty.

Example

index.ts
export class Shape implements {}
ts-r-check -p tsconfig.json --pretty false ts-r output
index.ts(1,30): error TS1097: 'implements' list cannot be empty.

Recorded by node scripts/verify-examples.mjs with ts-r built from commit 6deaf01. The example uses the default tsconfig: strict, target: es2022, module: esnext, moduleResolution: bundler.

How to fix

  • Name the interface: class Shape implements Drawable {}.
  • If the class implements nothing, remove the implements keyword.
